Fan Engagement Platform, Fanbase, Establishes Headquarters in Indiana, Joins Sports Tech HQ Collective
Fanbase, a Scotland-based software company dedicated to creating the best sports fan experience in the world, today announced its inclusion in the Sports Tech HQ (STHQ) Collective. This move supports Fanbase’s core mission: to partner with sports organizations in building sustainable, profitable, and truly engaged fan communities.
Fanbase gives fans an easy way to connect with their team through a digital platform available on mobile, tablet, and desktop. It brings together ticketing, VIP packages, subscriptions, club news, and more in one place so supporters can stay up-to-date and involved.
For sports organizations, Fanbase offers tools to understand and communicate with their audience. Built-in analytics help track the performance of campaigns and support informed decisions. The platform also includes space for sponsor placements in the newsfeed and match centre, helping clubs link their partners with the people who follow the team most closely.
“Ever since spending time in Indy as part of Techstars Sports, we were impressed by not just the city and state but their focus on Sports epitomized by Sports Tech HQ. Becoming a member of their collective signals our belief in Indy as a center for excellence in the sports ecosystem,” says Alasdair Crawley, CEO of Fanbase.
“It also signals our belief that the sports industry deserves better. Better product, better service, better innovation. We can’t wait to continue our mission to unlock growth for the 99% of sports organizations and colleges with Sports Tech HQ by our side.”
Jeffrey Hintz, Executive Director of Sports Tech HQ, added, “We welcome Fanbase to our Collective and look forward to their contribution in building a stronger, more connected sports ecosystem.”
Sports Tech HQ has a growing roster of 40+ game-changing companies. As a member of the STHQ Collective, Fanbase joins a growing community of entrepreneurs shaping the future of the $100B sports technology industry.
ABOUT FANBASE
Fanbase was founded in 2021 to give sports organizations outside the top 1% a scalable, cost-effective platform to drive sales and engage fans. Their research showed fans felt overlooked, with clubs relying on siloed data and generic communication. Fanbase changes that.
Fanbase is a SaaS platform built for pro, semi-pro, and ambitious amateur teams. Clubs can sell digital tickets and memberships, manage content and hospitality, and automate match-day tasks, all from one portal with a branded mobile app for fans. Using Fanbase’s CRM, clubs can build detailed audiences, send targeted messages, boost revenue through cross-sell and up-sell, and access insightful reporting to keep stakeholders happy.
In the UK, Fanbase works with over 200 partner clubs. As part of their US expansion, they’ve recently partnered with the University of Pennsylvania, Atlantic 10, and the Ivy League, with more to come.
