Sports Tech HQ emerged from a shared vision to transform Indiana into a global hub for sports technology. Recognizing the immense potential of sports tech to future-proof the state’s ‘sportconomy,’ the Indiana Economic Development Corporation partnered with the Indiana Sports Corp to create a platform that would foster innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Jeffrey Hintz

Jeffrey Hintz

Executive Director

With over 20 years of experience in sports, Jeff has become a trailblazer in planning and executing major events that define the industry. His leadership roles at PGA Headquarters and across iconic PGA of America events, including the PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship, and Ryder Cup, underscore his impact. Recognized as the 2016 Sportsperson of the Year by the Star Tribune for his transformative work as the Ryder Cup Director in Minnesota, Jeff continued to support the game as Executive Director of the Minnesota PGA.

Today, Jeff channels his passion for sports and technology by leading innovation initiatives at Indiana Sports Corp—the nation’s most storied sports commission—while driving Indiana’s ambitious vision to become an international hub for the sports tech industry.

An Indianapolis native, Jeff earned a degree in Sports Marketing & Management from Indiana University and an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business & Technology.

Brian Alkire

Brian Alkire

Head of Marketing

Brian Alkire joined Sports Tech HQ with a distinguished background in production, media relations, and brand management. Previously, he served as a Coordinating Producer for NBC News in New York, where he played a pivotal role in amplifying the TODAY Show brand with more than 200 local NBC stations across the United States. Prior to his tenure at NBC, Alkire helped deliver Jerry Seinfeld’s award-winning talk show series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee to a worldwide audience on NETFLIX and Sony’s “Crackle” streaming service.

Brian was born and raised in Franklin, Indiana and is a 2014 graduate of DePauw University.

Madi McGuire

Manager, Marketing & Events

Madi McGuire is an event marketer and brand builder with a knack for crafting engaging experiences that connect. Her diverse background includes collaborations with iconic figures like Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, as well as global brands like Netflix, Free People Movement, and Doritos.  A passionate storyteller, Madi’s work has been recognized in leading publications such as Adweek, AdAge, Forbes, The TODAY Show, and on SXSW main stages.

Madi graduated from Butler University and later earned a master’s degree in Sport Administration from Belmont University in Nashville.

Wyatt Wells

Wyatt Wells

Manager, Business Development

Bringing nearly a decade of startup experience, former founder Wyatt Wells joins STHQ
after 9 years as Chief Operating Officer at The Bee Corp, an Indianapolis-based AgTech
startup. Having built a startup in Indiana’s ecosystem, Wyatt has intimate experience
with the various resources, incentives and programs offered to small businesses by the
State of Indiana. Eager to leverage his deep network and breadth of startup wisdom,
Wyatt’s background as a founder adds valuable perspective to the STHQ team and its
members.

Wyatt earned his BS in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana University in
2016. Originally from Boston, Wyatt was drawn to Indiana because of its sports
prowess—he committed to IU the day after Christian Watford’s buzzer beater against
Kentucky in 2011.
