Reimagining the Future of Sports: TEDSports and the Sports Tech HQ Zone
The inaugural TEDSports brought the global sports world to Indianapolis, and Sports Tech HQ was proud to host the Sports Tech HQ Zone—a one-of-a-kind showcase that highlighted the innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial energy of Indiana’s sports tech ecosystem. The Sports Tech HQ Zone gave attendees hands-on opportunities to connect with the seven companies in our Collective who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sports. Each activation was interactive, designed to spark conversation, and reflective of what makes Indiana such a unique hub for sports innovation.
ai.io
ai.io is democratizing talent discovery with their AI-powered scouting tools. Their TEDSports activation let attendees step into the shoes of a prospect, running through AI-driven assessments that measure athletic performance in real time. It highlighted how technology can level the playing field for athletes everywhere, not just those in elite programs.
Dallara – AK Esports
Few things capture Indiana’s sports spirit like racing. Dallara and AK Esports brought this to life with an immersive esports experience that let attendees feel the thrill of motorsports in a whole new way. By blending simulation with competition, their activation showcased the intersection of tradition and technology at the heart of Indiana’s sports identity.
Ekkobar
Ekkobar took attendees deep into the world of social data with a powerful message: stop relying on old-school analytics. By mining the vast and chaotic world of social media, Ekkobar provides conversational solutions that deliver today’s answers, not yesterday’s data. Their intelligent, searchable database helps organizations find the right talent for campaigns, measure ROI with unmatched depth, monitor influencers, and uncover the who, what, and why behind online conversations. For brands, leagues, and sponsors, the promise was clear: replace gut feelings with data-backed, context-aware decisions.
Fanbase
Fanbase’s activation showed how clubs outside the top 1% can punch above their weight with smarter fan engagement. Attendees explored their all-in-one SaaS platform, where teams can sell tickets and memberships, automate match-day operations, and connect with fans through a branded mobile app. With 200+ clubs in the UK already on board and new U.S. partners like the Ivy League, Atlantic 10, and Penn, their booth made it clear how Fanbase is reshaping the playbook for fan connection and revenue growth
Fitasy
Fitasy is rethinking footwear from the ground up. At TEDSports, attendees experienced how their 3D-printed, custom-fit shoes are built to match every stride and every foot—breaking away from the one-size-fits-all approach. Their demo allowed visitors to see the potential of hyper-personalized performance gear that’s both sustainable and accessible.
Ganance
Ganance wowed attendees with a sleek, practical solution: turning any watch into a smartwatch. Their modular health wearable attaches to your favorite watch, allowing you to keep your health data without compromising your personal style. By bridging functionality and fashion, Ganance demonstrated how everyday accessories can deliver powerful health insights in ways that are both subtle and stylish.
MN8 Innovative Solutions
MN8 brought the science of recovery to life with their far-infrared biotech technology, designed to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and accelerate muscle recovery. Attendees learned how their bioceramics-based solutions—backed by 30+ patents and rigorous scientific validation—are redefining what’s possible in athlete wellness. With a team that includes PhDs and proven entrepreneurs, MN8’s booth showcased how cutting-edge biotech can help athletes extend careers, boost endurance, and improve quality of life on and off the field.
Why Indiana?
The Sports Tech HQ Zone wasn’t just a collection of booths—it was a statement about Indiana’s leadership in sports tech. By bringing together startups, established players, and emerging innovators in one collaborative space, we showed the world how Indiana combines its deep sports heritage with a forward-looking innovation ecosystem.
From racing to basketball, from athlete discovery to fan engagement, each activation was a reflection of the breadth and depth of Indiana’s sports community. The global audience at TEDSports experienced firsthand what we already know: Indiana is where the future of sport is taking shape.
