Sports industry professional, Jeffrey Hintz will lead day-to-day efforts.

INDIANAPOLIS – Sports Tech HQ has named Jeffrey Hintz as the first Executive Director of the non-profit organization tasked with growing Indiana’s stake in the sports tech sector.

Hintz, 44, a native of Indianapolis, spent his career in the sports and entertainment industry having held leadership positions in the golf industry across the country. Before relocating back to the Indianapolis area, he served as the Director for the 2012 and 2014 Senior PGA Championships, the 2016 Ryder Cup, and the Executive Director of the Minnesota PGA. Most recently he served as event director for the 2022 College Football National Championship and the 2022 NBA 2K League season contested in Indianapolis.

Hintz is a graduate of Indiana University, where he studied sports marketing and business management. He earned his Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.

I look forward welcoming sports tech startups, existing companies, and dreamers with big ideas to experience this first-hand.”

Hintz will simultaneously serve as the Vice President of Innovation for the Indiana Sports Corp. In this role, he will be responsible for innovation surrounding events and special projects for the most storied sports commission in the United States.
